When I think of the word inspire, I fondly think of Junior Achievement (JA). Not just because I work for JA, but because everything associated with the Mission has a valuable connection to the word inspire.

To start, our 100-year-old Mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

We do this through an inspiring network of thousands of volunteer role models. They share their experiences and support students through JA's career readiness, money management and entrepreneurship programming at their places of work, the JA Education Center, and on college campuses.

The JA of New Jersey Board truly walks the walk as they inspire us with their exceptional dedication and support. They lead by example and advocate on behalf of JA to their many colleagues, friends, family members, and community colleagues alike.

Our teachers inspire us and their students every day with their commitment to going above and beyond their daily routines to include JA in their curriculum. I cannot imagine a world without our educators.

JA's annual signature event, the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame, is the state's premier platform that recognizes today's ultimate role models . . . role models who inspire future leaders like our JA High School Heroes, who in turn, inspire children in their communities.

Every Laureate inducted into the prestigious Business Hall of Fame since our inaugural class in 2003 was recognized throughout the past 17 years for their inspirational leadership among the many other common traits they share.

I look forward to highlighting the additional traits that our Laureate Legacies share leading up to the April 23, 2020 New Jersey Business Hall of Fame. This spectacular JA Student Ambassador-led event will bring back 30 of our inspirational Laureate Legacies from over the years, as well as 100 high school heroes to celebrate JA’s Centennial!
