Professional Development Workshops


In 2019, Junior Achievement of New Jersey was selected by the NJ Department of Education to serve as provider of financial literacy education to New Jersey public schools aligned to state standards and graduation requirements. The goal of the partnership is to further develop, implement, and administer financial literacy education programs, offer credit-earning professional development to educators, and provide model curriculum aligned to NJSLS 9 at no cost to school districts.

JA Finance Park


JA Finance Park is a digital experiential learning program for middle and high school students. Featuring grade-appropriate, teacher-led financial literacy curriculum, the program culminates with a visit to JA Finance Park, an online Virtual simulation where students engage with volunteer mentors and put into practice what they’ve learned by selecting a career, defining their future lifestyle goals, and creating a budget. The Virtual simulation can be done at home or in school, in one sitting or over multiple sessions, on any device.

JA BizTown


Using a branching, story-driven adventure, JA BizTown Adventures is an online, interactive experience for 4th - 6th grade students to gain an understanding of running businesses while taking on various roles within them. Explore Chick-fil-A, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Investors Bank, Maser Consulting, MetLife, Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery, Quest Diagnostics, UPS, & Wells Fargo via five online, self-guided adventures. Students & families can self-register and go through the adventures as many times as they’d like..

Work-based Learning Initiatives


Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide currency in the labor market and serve as key momentum points for individuals on a path to economic opportunity, especially those from underserved communities. Maintaining these opportunities for students is vital for families, communities and the State. As our economy recovers, JA is responding to rapid technological change and upheaval by collaborating to expand high-quality educational opportunities to better prepare students for success in high-demand careers. This program will provide an equitable solution to schools and school districts for work based learning in a virtual format, through collaboration and innovation.
