JA of New Jersey Announces Partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey
JA of New Jersey and Rowan College of South Jersey Partner to Launch New South Jersey Initiative
Edison, NJ – Junior Achievement of New Jersey (JANJ) announces its new partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey, and the official commencement of JANJ's new South Jersey initiative. This partnership has granted JANJ the opportunity to start its brand-new satellite office on the Gloucester County campus of Rowan College, located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell, NJ. This office serves as the first expansion site for JANJ and will serve as the headquarters for its Southern New Jersey-based initiatives.
On September 19, 2023, JANJ and Rowan College of South Jersey honored this new partnership with a signing event on the campus of Rowan College in Gloucester County.
“Since joining JA in July 2022, it’s really been instilled in me how important it is to regain and reestablish our relationships here in South Jersey,” said James Horne, President, and CEO of JANJ.
Alexandria Hetzel, a Washington Township High School JANJ student said, “The whole purpose of Junior Achievement is to inspire kids to become successful and to inspire others ... and with Junior Achievement I know I can accomplish these things.”
The partnership will make JANJ’s services more accessible and readily available for Southern New Jersey students. With the help of Rowan College of South Jersey, JANJ will continue helping young people gain the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities through career exploration and readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship learning experiences.
Rowan College will serve as a resource for JANJ and students alike; with this partnership, youth will be able to engage in the numerous programs offered by JANJ, all while getting a sneak peek into life at a higher education institution. Should they want to seek it, Rowan College can provide JANJ students with resources and serve as a bridge to higher learning.
JANJ will be starting events at Rowan College of South Jersey effective immediately and is excited to further impact the lives of New Jersey’s future leaders. For more information on how to get involved with JANJ, please visit https://janj.ja.org/.
