No one could have ever imagined the rippling effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past year, when it felt as if time stood still, JANJ persevered by pivoting and adapting the delivery of its learning experiences to be accessible and equitable for young people across the state by transitioning to virtual programming. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, one thing remained constant - people recognized the importance and positive impact of JANJ’s mission - to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Given the circumstances, JA’s thoughtful volunteers and proven programs have successfully increased students’ competencies around career readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
